Less frequent washing: makes your hair less likely to dry out. When you wash too often, it strips your hair of natural oils. Unless you have very oily hair, washing once or twice a week is ideal. But rather than having a strict schedule, watch your hair for cues on when to wash. Take advantage if you can go another day without washing and give it a rinse instead. Using a dry shampoo is ok, just not too often to avoid buildup.
